Our specialty is solid wood installed unfinished, then sanded and finished on site so the stain, sheen and texture are exactly what you picked. We also install pre-finished and engineered floors when the job calls for it.
True hand-scraped
Scraped by hand, board by board, for an old-world texture no factory "hand-scraped" product matches. A real conversation piece.
Distressed & rustic
Reclaimed barn and stockyard lumber, sawn heart pine, wide rustic planks, finished in oil or poly to keep the patina.
Engineered
Glue-down engineered hardwood for concrete slabs and basements where solid wood can't go.
Pre-finished
Smooth or scraped pre-finished floors, plus pre-finished stair treads and risers. We build dozens of staircases a year.
Refinishing & repair
From 100-year-old pine to school gym floors. We sand to bare wood, repair, re-stain and refinish, or re-oil an oiled floor.

Family run in the Ozarks
Started by a log home builder who couldn't find a good floor crew
Lee Walsh built custom log homes around Eureka Springs from 1984 to 1994. He started putting down the floors himself because he couldn't find anyone who'd do a quality job at a fair price. That became Lee's Custom Wood Flooring, then Ozark Hardwood Flooring.
Today Lee's son Ethan runs the company. Ethan worked alongside Lee for more than five years learning every part of installation, sanding and finishing, and he's the one who'll come measure your job. His son Winston is already on the jobsite, the third generation of Walsh floor men.

Before you call
Why real wood instead of laminate or vinyl plank?
Real hardwood can be sanded and refinished many times, so it lasts for decades and you can change the color later. Laminate and vinyl are usually replaced once they wear. Real wood also helps resale value.
What does "dust-free sanding" mean?
Our sanders are connected to a containment and vacuum system that captures the dust as we work, so it doesn't settle through the rest of your house.
How far ahead should I schedule?
We're normally booked 3–6 weeks in advance. If you're building, call us when framing is up so we can plan around your schedule.
Can you match my existing floor?
Usually, yes. We match species, width and stain so new rooms blend into old ones. We recently tied a new red oak bedroom into an existing floor seamlessly.
