A little closer Picture.  It’s a bit hard to tell by the picture exactly how this floor looks.

Current Schedule and outlook as of 2/18/2010

We completed year 2009 with about 121,000 SQFT of Hardwood flooring installed, Sanded and Finished and/or Refinished.   That was off a little over 30% from our record year in 2007, but thankfully was not too bad, considering how much the housing market has fallen.   In talking to several builders in the last year, I have found none who have not been affected by the housing slowdown, and many saying it is the worst they’ve ever seen by far.  Several builders who normally build 5-6 homes per year were reduced to doing small remodeling projects just to try and stay working in the last year.   Things seem to be finally stabilizing however, and we seem to be getting several calls with spring coming up.

The housing slowdown has affected everyone in the home industry. We have been blessed however, and are still working, along with building homes and cabins thru our sister company, Ozark Custom Country Homes.

We are getting several inquiries about our hand scraped flooring, and recently finished a new “Heart Hickory” hand scraped floor in Texas.  I posted many new pictures of this beautiful and unique floor on the website, so be sure and check them out on the Photos Page.  We have also completed another hand scraped hickory floor in a very nice home in Little Rock, and a 6 inch Hand Scraped White Oak Floor in a Log Cabin in Hasty, AR.    These are really beautiful floors and we have a new page on the website about hand-scraped and textured floors.

If you plan to do some wood floor in your new or existing home, give us a call as soon as possible to get on our list.  Thanks a bunch.

Beautiful hand scraped 5 inch Cherry in a 9000 SQFT home in Central Arkansas.                    This is one of the most unique floors in the state of Arkansas.
